To help raise money and awareness about breast cancer I am currently in training for the 26 miles Moon Walk through London in my bra – and other clothes! I am up to walking 10 miles a week with two bigger walks planned just after Easter. Thank you to my regular 1230 TWC members for sponsoring me.

A pretty earring was lost and returned to its owner during the 1230 AOB? event on 17 March. It was then found during the clearing up at the end of the day – it desperately wants to be returned to its rightful owner! If this is you, please contact Jackie on jgroundsell@1230.co.uk
I have had two amazing sessions with Susie Jeffries on my vision board now.
Last weeks session was a very creative one. I had gathered pictures representing the areas of my life I wanted to focus on: My work/purpose, my relationship, my family and friends and what nurtures me.
I found that in looking at the pictures,( most of which came from my photo collection) and what they represented for me, I struggled at first to find the words I needed to accompany the pictures. However, once I focused on the feeling that the pictures evoked I found I was able to put some affirmations into place.
Working with Susie is an amazing exoerience, she is kindness itself. A very spiritual person and a natural teacher, who I feel is able to extend and develop me.
We started with a meditation, during which I was invited to take myself to a place of deep relaxation. I felt drawn to the sea and weather permitting will take a trip this weekend!
I was also invited to draw a card ~ I chose Integrity ~ Align your actions so that they match your values and inner knowingness of what’s right for you.
This need for realignment was something I had been aware of for some time.
This week has been an amazing one, in which solutions have been found and I am sure other solutions are on their way.
On Saturday night, my husband I went to the Cinema, then in search of supper found ourselves outside our favourite Restaurant. There was a parking place right outside! Naturally, on a Saturday night it was full of diners. Unperturbed, we went in and asked if there was a free table. We were shown to a table with a RESERVED sign on it. The waitress assured us that it was free and I said to my husband ‘ well that was meant to be, the Universe must have reserved that for us’ !!
I am finding that communication, connections and timing are going more smoothly.
Huge breakthroughs are taking place with people close to me and in my work.
I am continuing to attract new clients and have found some amazing speakers for my NLP Practise Group
I am now preparing my board for the final session, which I am so looking forward to and will keep you posted…
Love & Blessings

Utility Warehouse is top in the April issue of Which? magazine – again! When customers were asked in October 2008 it was clear that most energy suppliers weren’t doing nearly enough to keep their customers happy. We came top in that survey and are the only company to have IMPROVED – customer satisfaction 83% and awarded 5 stars in every category. It costs you nothing to have a chat about how you can save money and be on the receiving end of award-wining customer service. All we ever hear from the media is doom and gloom – when such an economical climate is a time for diversifying our businesses, moving in another direction with our business ….or even trying a new type of business. Recently I listened to a marketing consultant on how to succeed during these challenging times. It has openend my husband’s eyes to new ways of earning an income in his business, such as offering workshops and offering other services related to his business. One key factor that was apparent was the necessity to give “the best” customer service, and not to drop your prices just to win the business.
In some cases, people look to join the industries that are actually “booming” in this climate, and thrive on people looking to make money in other ways instead of the conventional “job”. I am extremely fortunate to be involved in an industry where an adviser to the government, Edward Ludbrook, has said that ‘it’s time has now come’. The company I work with is set to explode in the next 5 to 6 years – such an exciting time and a great future for my business.
Every cloud has a silver lining…what is yours?

This message to say a big ‘thank you’ to all involved in organising another great event and the speakers had such passion and enthusiasum I found it very motivational and uplifting.
I had to leave the event early to attend to and urgent matter and was therefore not able to congratulate the winner of my donated ‘prize’, the travel gift pack & £50.00 holiday voucher, but I am sure it went to a good home and I look forward to helping find a suitable holiday for this year or next in which to use the voucher!
Thank you to everyone and to the new contacts I made it was just great!

After attending the brilliant 1230 Conference 17th March, and listening to the great speakers talking about taking risks in setting up a business, I felt inspired to share with you all a poem that finally made me decide to leave teaching after 35 years and set up my business. I never thought that I would be able to do this so late in my working career. I have been successful and am loving every minute of what I do. It has been a huge learning experience and I am still learning.
The poem is called RISKS and is by Leo F Buscaglia.
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken
because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love …. live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave: he has forfeited freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
Hey! What a great networking lunch today in Wimbledon, hosted by Teresa Leong – the sun was out in all her glory, and all the attendees were on sparkling form feeling very energised by the wonderful weather.
It was great to meet some new faces and friends, giving a very warm welcome to Michela Milazzo of Qi Investment, although probably not as warm as her investment properties in the Caribbean!
Fiona (Coppard – Electra Jewellery) brought along a few select items from her gorgeous range of bags and accessories, two handbags snaffled up before she even had time to get them fully out of her case!!
With Mothers Day in mind, I’d also brought along a few old favourites from Holistic Feathers as gift ideas and handed out sample pots of Raw Gaia’s raw chocolate face mask *yummmieeee*
Teresa was on top form, sharing her vision for her Wimbledon group and we have some exciting news about our plans to celebrate 1230 TWC Wimbledon’s 1st birthday next month … so put Monday 20th April in your diary and make sure you come along to share the birthday celebrations in style!
Wishing everyone an amazingly successful 1230 Any Other Business! event tomorrow in Bromley …
