Muddy but Happy!

On leaving the very successful regional thebestof (well done Kevin Bourne) networking event last night, I found that my car wouldn’t budge from the muddy overspill car park. Sliding to my rescue was Richard Morrell of Interco. A very big THANK YOU! Richard for pulling my car out! Certainly my Knight, but in not so shining (muddy) armour!

The Royal School Christmas Fayre

I exhibited at my first Christmas Fayre this weekend (Sat 22nd Nov), at the Royal School in Hindhead, Surrey. The Fayre was well attended by both exhibitors, displaying a wide range of products from jewellery, handbags and floral designs and visitors. I received lots of interest in my art work and murals and will definitely return next year.

Caterer Needed!

What a friendly meeting!

I attended Fiona Syrett’s Woking Group Meeting today and what a pleasure it was. Such a friendly group ~ lots of great networking taking place. The food was also delicious ~ if only we could loose lbs driving down the motorway ~ now there’s an invention in the making …….

Where there’s a Will

There was a bumper attendance at today’s Sevenoaks Meeting, where Trevor French of Collective Legal Solutions gave us advice about Will writing and how to avoid some of the financial heffalump traps of life. It was one of our members who put Trevor in touch with me.

We also had a bumper business card draw today. Big thank you to Bridget Kelsey of Syntony Image Consultancy for donating a 1 hour make up session and to Fiona Coppard who donated a glamourous manicure set.

The members truly make the group what it is ~ they are welcoming to new people and network the group to others.

Christmas came early to Wimbledon

We celebrated Christmas a little earlier than usual in Wimbledon – starting with a Christmas Fayre!

As warned in my previous blog, some of us came along in fancy dress! For embarrassing photographs, all you need to do is log on to Facebook and search for ‘Teresa Leong’ or ‘Callie Carling’, then click on our Photos tab!

Teresa’s generosity did not stop at mince pies and crackers for all, oh no! Her Christmas Gift to the group was free table displays, enabling those who attended a chance to grab some Christmas bargains while networking and munching mince pies.

Thank you so much, Teresa, for such a kind gesture in our own local bid to kick-start the economy!

Jo, our lovely waitress, also extended the Christmas Fayre invite to her customers and I managed to attract the attention of a gentleman into our Fayre, just by passing his table dressed as a Christmas angel.

Teresa also held a Christmas raffle, for which we raised £35 for Ovacome – brilliant news, well done!

The lucky prize winners were:

Best Fancy Dress: Fiona Coppard, dressed as Mrs Sexy Santa! She chose a great Jamie Oliver cookbook, kindly donated by Alison Standbridge of Alliance Insurance.

Yvonne Mills (APS Legal) chose a Ripple energy healing session, donated by me (Callie Carling), Holistic Feathers.

Alison Standbridge (Alliance) chose a bling bracelet, donated by Fiona Coppard, Electra Collection.

I won a chic candle box set, donated by Meera Prasad, Body Spa.

Working Together!

I recently needed to get two 1230 banners to Fiona Syrett who is exhibiting on behalf of 1230 at the What’s Stopping You? in Woking on 18 November. Fiona knew just the person to arrange despatch of these – Kieron McCormack of Broadcast Freight Services Ltd, a member of Fiona’s BNI. A big thank you to Kieron for such an efficient courier service!

Fun at the Mill in East Grinstead

It was a great pleasure to meet with a new group of women on Tuesday in East Grinstead.

I find the energy in a room full of women exciting and look forward to all the new contacts we will be making in the future.

What a Buzz…..

There was great energy at the East Grinstead Meeting this week. Big thank you to Pippa Forde, Donna Rowe and Samantha Doyle for introducing new people to the group.

I get such a great buzz from seeing people connect, support and motivate each other in this way.
